Flag of Honduras
The flag of Honduras was adopted on March 7, 1866. The Honduran flag has three stripes of equal dimensions. Two blue stripes border the central white band. The blue ones represent the Pacific and Caribbean sea that create the shoreline of Honduras. This Flag is based on the flag of the Federal Republic of Central America. In 1823 Honduras joined the United Provinces of Central America and adopted their flag.
